In Conclusion
The bottomline is that learning how to talk to each member of your staff is your job as a pitching coach. No aspect of your day-to-day is more important than learning how to communicate with your guys. Ask questions, get to know the person inside the uniform, and give everyone a voice, and a say in their process. Coach Bangs says it best when he says:
“I’m not going to make you better, I’m going to help you get better”
It’s your player’s journey, not yours, so give them the keys, and assist as much as you can.
