Single Leg Hop Throws
Single Leg Hop Throws
Single Leg Hop Throws are a back leg drive exercise.
We start in the set position, with about 95% of our body weight on our back leg.
From here the drill begins with a small hop forward from the back leg.
Once we land we immediately ground the foot and push off to deliver the ball to the target.
The goal of this drill is to help the athlete feel what it’s like to drive off a back leg that actually has weight and power behind it. By hoping we ensure that all the weight is back and loaded up properly.
