Toe Curl Drill

Toe Curl Drill

The Toe Curl Drill is a back leg drive exercise.

We start on one knee at a 90 degree angle from our target.

Our back leg is on the ground, & our front leg is up off the turf.

The initial movement is to curl the toes of the back foot and drive yourself off the ground.

As we hop up, the hips and shoulders align with the target.

We then get into an abbreviated pitching leg lift position, and deliver the ball.

The goal of this drill is to be super quick and explosive with our lower body.

Starting in a kneeling position forces the athlete to engage and fire up the back leg before making the throw.
