The Posted Pivot Drill is a balance drill. 

We set up in a full pitching leg lift, but turned so that our chest and eyes are now facing away from the target. 

Once we are balanced in this position, we take a small 90 degree hop to bring the body back around to our normal pitching position, with the shoulders now in line with the target.  

Once we balance again, we deliver the ball. 

The goal with this drill is to test our balance when we incorporate rotational energy into our mechanics. 

Keeping the core strong is vital for this exercise.
