Kneeling Push Throws

Kneeling Push Throws are a front leg stabilization drill.

We start in a kneeling position with our lead leg off the ground at a 90 degree angle, and our hands centered.

From there we curl our back toes, rock the weight back, separate the arms, and push off the ground so that our back leg kicks up and over, bringing our body off the ground.

Our goal is to keep the front foot firmly planted in the ground at all times, resisting the urge to spin or elevate onto the toes.

Think about your front foot being the nail and your chest the hammer that is driving the nail into the ground.
