The Slingshot Throw is a front leg stabilization drill.
We start in the forward lunge position, or warrior position. With the front foot facing towards the target, the back foot staying parallel.
The drill begins with the hands together and a slight rock backwards to load up our back leg.
Once the leg is loaded, we drive off the back foot and kick our leg up and over.
The Key is to keep the front foot from spinning or opening up, reinforcing the concept of being stable and strong on our lead leg.
